I think I found a couple bugs? Or I'm doing something wrong.

I was playing around with KP KI KD settings and saved them.

Had a previous customer come in and when I went to make a pull it had the previous settings showing . I pulled up other customers and same thing happens. Do we have to reset all our old customers setting when they come back in?

2nd issue

I set a Pull to end at 16,200 make a pull and at end of pull before I let off throttle gauge screen shows 16,400. now I go to graphs screen and it only shows up to 15,900

What am I doing wrong????

Password protected options menu would be great for dynos used by many operators.
Also torque in kg-m is something I miss.

You can create your own units using the math channels very easily.

I use it to create lb-ft to use alongside HP, because when you select to use HP in the software, you get Nm for the torque unit, which is a weird combination

Printing on the newest software won't display boost or lambda graphs, it just shows two black lines instead of a graph. Tried printing from two different PCs, one shows black lines and the other shows the graph but it is squeezed right down really thin and is un readable

Folks,

New YourDyno software version released today, version 3.2.154.

Just a single fix:

- Internal dyno losses was not handled correctly when using stored retardation

Enjoy!

@tom, the printing issue you report must be some zooming issue or graph size issue or something like that. Try resizing the graph a bit. The printer has lower resolution than (a good) screen. If you are stuck, send me the csv file and I will take a look (jostein@yourdyno.com)

BUG: after i tried to mess a bit with the new way to calculate dyno loss, Yourdyno suddenly crashed. I think i did remove to many regression points.

After the yourdyno crash i am not able to open yourdyno anymore. i just comes up with an error and closes down again. See attachment for error. How do i solve this again? i cant open YD anymore.

after replacing backup config i got Yourdyno up running again. But now i have issues with printing. attached photo dialog comes every time i press print and choose printer. No matter if its the real printer, pdf print, XPS print this error comes. I have never seen it before.

I have of cause tested printing of all other apps on pc. Word, excel, Adobe reader etc it working without issues. Have any of you seen this before? i am now a bit insecure if its my laptop or YD sw?

Thanks.

Hi,

Not sure what this is but you can try Restore options from file if you have a backup (that is maybe what you did?) or go to this folder with the file manager: %localappdata%\Fonneland_Engineering_AS (yes it looks strange but enter this into the address field). Under here are all the options file for all previous versions Navigate to the previous version and copy the user.config file over to the current version and start YourDyno again.

Hi folks,

YourDyno version 3.2.158 is available now.

A few new features and bug fixes:

  • Support for STD and STD+ environmental correction factors. These are popular in the US in particular. The STD+ is STD + humidity correction. Humidity correction is not part of the J607 standard, but some other dyno systems use this, and it is better than the regular STD
  • The correction factor reference conditions for JIS D1001 were corrected and a minor change to a Diesel engine parameter for DIN70020 was done (harmonized with Maha's tables)
  • Custom colors in the color dialogs are now saved in options
  • It is now possible to have a 2 point curve (a straight line) to describe the brake internal losses. Earlier minimum 3 points were needed
  • Increased the number of decimal places for voltage in the Aux channel setup tables to 3 (X.XXX)
  • Enabled the Restart button when the dyno is in the RPM stabilization phase before the run starts. Early restart is useful in case you accidentally rev above the start RPM (and have Auto start enabled)
  • Fixed a bug that if you changed something in options, it was not immediately included when you saved the options
  • Fixed a bug when reading in old (> ~2.5 years ago) csv files

Thanks to @madswp, @osi, @bendd, @walter and others for suggestions and bug reports.

Cheers!

@admin

Thank you so much Jostein, fixing those couple of bugs I mentioned makes a big difference to how the software works for me!

Much appreciated, as always 🙂

Hi folks,

YourDyno version 3.2.160 is available now.

Changes:

  • Support for hotkeys in plugins. KMTronic (the USB relay plugin) supports hotkeys now to turn on and off relays
  • RPM sweep rate in brake controls is now always given as a positive number. Start and stop RPM will set the direction (down sweep or up sweep). When this was introduced in 3.2.158, a bug was introduced that the Power Sweep setup would always revert back to 200 RPM/s rate. This is fixed now

Since hotkeys are supported for plugins, the plugin format has changed. Most of you don't need to care about that, but if you run 3rd party plugins (i.e. not from YourDyno), then you need to add this to the plugin code.

public List<Keys> hotkeys
{
    get
    {
        return null;
    }
}

public void hotkeyPressed(Keys hotkey)
{
}

If I install a new software version, can I copy the user.config from the old version to the new version ? or do I have to make all my settings again in the new version ?
