I have been off and on fighting with getting Sniper 2 CAN bus working with the YourDyno software. I am at a point now where at 650 RPM the channel value is showing 32 million RPM in the software. I have tried all sorts of factor and scaling settings with no luck. I can make it read 650 RPM, but then when I increase the RPM the channel data in the software doesn't increase at the same rate. Since I don't have a strong understanding of what is going on I loaded the Sniper 2 DBC file and a screenshot of the YourDyno CAN page with all of the data displayed into Google Gemini AI. Not that I am proud to admit that, but I'm worn out at this point.

After some trial and error the conclusion is that the YourDyno software does not support "IEEE 754 32 bit floating point data". Does that sound like a plausible answer and if so is that something that can be made to work in some way? The Sniper systems do not have the option to change the CAN bus type to Racepak or anything else. They are stuck with the Sniper 2 protocol and that's it. I feel like if something as simple as the included touchscreen with the Snipers can work with it then dyno software should easily be able to as well. I can't begin to explain how important it is that I get this working, my day job is selling and supporting Holley EFI and a huge amount of our customers have Snipers. I really need to be able to do testing and things using the CAN data.

Hi, do you have the Sniper 2 CAN bus specification? I can take a look. Even if it sends data in a 32 bit floating point format, which would be very unusual, we can support it.

We need to know the data format, so send me that first, and if needed I can login with you and get it going.
