BMGJET
Any update from link yet as i'm keen on setting up dyno coms for the Link ECU also
Nissan consult would be a good option for me as well
Sadly I wouldn't know were to start with programming in C or how to make a plugin
Nistune have the TX RX info for the Nissan consult on there website, if that helps
Thanks
Hello,
bmgjet , can you make a plugin to detect tires slipping on rollers ?
something like that : if rpm from scantool or obd2 is greather (more than 50 or 100 rpm) than rpm calculated with gear ratio than alert the user
or : a new gauge on new run window thats shows differences from calculated rpm and obd2 rpm. in gauge setup whe can set range color 1 to green from 0 to 100rpm and range color 2 to red for more than 100rpm
I think Jostein is already working on wheel slip features since I talked to him about it awhile ago, Scan tool plugin was a little on the slow side unless you are only logging RPM. The CAN Tool plug in tho was ideal tho with how much faster CAN is or using 2nd RPM input on bluebox with inductive clamp.

yes, that's why i said for each dyno. i means something as a how to get the best setup of your dyno, something as when Jostein made a video for calculate drivetraing losses.
The problem is that there are so many variables. Different power supplies have different reaction speeds, then there is the number of pulses per rev, the inertia of the rollers and the retarder in use. Maybe just a forum thread with successful settings?
Hi there! i was wondering about one thing, im not sure if calling a plugin would be the right one, since we can track a lot of paramentes, i'd say to do an assistant for to get the best pid control for each dyno. Ive working good since first time, took a bit time to get pid control Works good and until today but im sure Will be improve a bit more, i was wondering about to do an assistant tracking each parameter then get the best pid and configuration for every dyno, not sure if you understand what i means.

nice! waiting for it!
Hi, yes it is possible to support 4WD using 2 YourDyno boxes. But it is quite a bit of work on the software side! It's been a lot of work lately with the Plugins and the Load Control mode, so once this settles down I can start to look at how much work it is. I have had a number of requests for this!
I also need 4 inputs for load cell, rpm etc. For the same reason. 4wd hub dyno. Have been thinking about 2 blueboxes also, maybe that could be done...??
i means to have 4 power suplly, 4 load cells, 4 rpm sensors.Ago some time i talked with Jostein about this for using maybe 2 yourdyno boxes, etc but since there is not enought request for this maybe could be forward i guess. should be great to see this im sure ppl can see how yourdyno can be extended for using to any dyno in the world! Of course im very interested on this!
I was wondering how hard would be to do a "plugin" for to add 2 Eddie brakes more for a AWD hub dyno.
Youd wire the brakes in two pairs of series.

The load cell inputs going to be the hard bit.
But could be done either by combining the 2 pairs load cell readings together with converter box.
Or work with Jostein and write a plugin for external input thats procressed as load cells.

Love the thought about one plugin for can-stuff.
if you make the plugin i can send you the module...
btw, i liked the way you aranged the logged channels in scantool with [scantool] behind... easy to tell them apart from the ones that are standard in yourdyno...
Whats a more direct way we can communicate?
Im open to facebook or email (brendan at yourdyno dot com)
What do they cost since my main aim is to support the best value and easily available option.
Having a look though there other products that CAN Switch looks like a neat device.Quite cheap i would say....
Looks like that might be winner.
Half the price of the AEM one, Are you the ECUMaster dealer?
Ill have a think about what would be the best way to implement it. Probably a dedicated plugin for CAN stuff called CANTool.

amazing! put a k20 to any of these 😛
The bucket in the back could use a K20 lol. Would make more power then the old donkey in it.
