Folks,
UnaVision version 4.1.28 (beta) was released today. Some nice new features!
- Road load simulator and drag race simulator! Check out the video here: YourDyno Drag race and road load simulator - YouTube
- New manual brake mode: Control target brake torque. Useful if you want to apply a set torque at the brake
- Native CAN Bus support for Holley ECUs. They use a special float numbers format, which is now supported. Any other ECU or device using the floats are also supported natively now
- Advanced brake setup: All brakes have a certain max Brake torque vs RPM curve. This is typically given by the brake manufacturer. It is now possible to enter this relationship in the dyno setup (Options->Brake and output channels->Advanced). This can enable more optimal brake settings, because it makes the brake response more equal over the whole RPM range. It is optional to change this, just leave it out if your brake control is ok
- More intuitive scrolling when you have many runs in a single session in the database
- Bug fixes:
- The Oscillation method MOI Wizard did not handle imperial units correctly in the automatic MOI calculation. Fixed now
- The internal dyno loss table handled imperial units incorrectly. The loss curve was correct. The table is fixed now
Full power in low gears puts a lot of torque in the dyno, so take care that the dyno and the vehicle strapping are able to handle that
As always, let me know of any issues at jostein@yourdyno.com
