hi, im am needing a stepper motor for my water brake valve, its a superflow disk type that operates on 3/4 to 1 turn total. what torque figures would you recommend? is 3-4Nm enough? or do i need bigger? is 200 step enough also? would something like this do the job? thanks

Hello, I would go higher, my valve needed more . Check your valve by testing about 100mm out from center with a "type fisching scale) whats needed to turn it.....with full waterpressure on .

I used the Nema 33 ....the steps is no problem ..you will set that in your dyno..and stepper drive.

i cant imagine this being very powerful from late 80s technology its smaller that the palm of my hand and only a 6mm shaft with a rubber coupling

They now use a rectangle NEMA 23 with a pot for feed back .
