I just received the SS Water valve and I'm looking at exactly where to connect the wires.
I have a V4 control unit.
I see it comes pre terminated into some of the plug in connectors, which If I'm understanding the connections, the zero position sensor connects to the Digital I/O port and will use the 5V, In1 and In2 (labeled I/O1 and I/O2 on my control unit), if I am correct, and if I am, the provided connector looks like it will just plug straight in. This sensor added to the "V2" is to be able to have the valve in a known position for every run, correct? Close the valve to zero, and start counting up from there to ensure the valve position is known and/or never gets over rotated, do I understand that correctly?
The control side however, the V4 seems to be different than the V5, as on my Out1 and Out2 I have "0V" "OutA" and "OutB" terminals for each output, so I assume that I will need to move the control wires over to my screw terminals in the "0V" and "OutA" for each respective output, correct?
So to illustrate it:
The manual states:
YourDyno instrument unit YourDyno Stepper controller
Out1 Out PUL+
Out1 0V PUL -
Out2 Out DIR+
Out2 0V DIR -
So I assume that this is how I will be connecting mine:
YourDyno (V4) instrument unit YourDyno Stepper controller
Out1 OutA PUL+
Out1 0V PUL -
Out2 OutA DIR+
Out2 0V DIR -
This leaves both "OutB" terminals connected to nothing.
Do I have this correct?
For v4:
Out1 OutA -> PUL+
Out1 OutB -> DIR+
Out1 0V PUL- and DIR-

So does that mean that I will have an output left over to use for something else, via the Out2 port? ????
Though Out2 seems to be greyed out when stepper is chosen on the out1...
