I think thats a good idea.
Especially if you have a car with all its details already recorded all you need then is a mouse to select the predefined rpm intervals. I always use 2000rpm for the calibration to tacho rpm.
Instead of having to manually input the rpm which we want to sync the dyno on, maybe you can add a drop down menu with choices like 2000-2500-3000-3500-4000 etc.
Hi, Another few little things that would be nice for a future update.
It would be nice to be able to define a different hot key for a new run with a new retardation run and a new run with stored data.
Also would it be possible to have some button's in the run Windows where you can choose the mode? Power sweep, manual brake control ect. I swap between these alot and going into the brake setup window and selecting it there is a minor annoyance.
Last one being when you select manual brake control it asks to turn off inertial compensation, would it be possible to have it automatically turn back on when you go to back to power sweep? Or ask or even a setting where you can choose if asks or does it automatically or nothing?

Hi, not sure I understood properly. Can you expand on the idea?
Jostein,
could you add a tab to the rpm setup where we can select predefined rpm’s?
don’t have space to comfortably put my keyboard so would be good if I don’t need it all together.
Does anyone have problems reading the rpm with the latest sw updates?
yes. i've had the same problem where suddenly live rpm was zero even though engine was running. restarted software and rpm worked again.
I have tried to restart software, re install sw and firmware, tried different setup of spike removal (0 to 5) but It doesnt work anyway.

I implementing the avarages as a ringbuffer + summ method, which is very fast and gives good result. I will share a plugin within 1-2 days which provides smooted values of the HP and Tq... this is usefull for ignition tuning.., BTW the live graphs are welcome 🙂
Kris, good ideas.
The gauges show values today with no filtering to make them fast responding. The idea is to change this to use the filtering settings from Options with a fast on-the-fly filter algorithm (not just averaging which is slow). This anyway needs to be implemented to support live graphs as an option in addition to the digital/analog gauges.
Could you please add a resettable lubber that can be tuned on on the gauges in "Run" to show the peak value?
Also some adjustable averaging on the live values setable in the gauge setup would be lovely.

Hi! any forecast for 4WD HUB dyno mode? i Will receive +2 load cells this week :D.
Not sure if I posted this earlier, but what about some safety limits for the dyno that will bring up a warning while you are dynoing. Max roller / hub speed, maybe max torque etc.
Im building a hub dyno with hydraulic pumps and the pumps have a max speed that would probably be easily exceeded if you arent paying attention. So say you can set a max pump speed of 2200rpm and it could bring a warning up as you approach it.
In the run window Push V,
Tick to show Roller/Hub RPM.
Right click that gauge in the run window and go to setup.
Set it up with the colour ranges. So green to certain RPM, Orange when aproching max RPM, Red when over.

Tuners,
YourDyno 3.2.35 was released today. It contains a single fix:
- Previously if you rebooted your PC with YourDyno connected, then you would get the message "YourDyno not responding correctly, please disconnect and connect". This is now fixed. You can reboot without this (minor) annoyance.
You need to upgrade the firmware, it can be done with the press of the "Upgrade to latest firmware" button in options.
Cheers
Ahh Good, Minor but Annoying. Another thing I have noticed that is a minor annoyance is when typing comments in the box in the main screen it does not deactivate the hotkeys so you cant use any letter keys.
Cheers
This is Actually fixed too! 👍
