I am installing a V5 dyno controller on a water brake with an engine which uses a Motec ECU. The ECU has a tachometer output that can be programed to produce 20 pulses per rev (same as the yourdyno wheel trigger wheel).

Does anyone have experience using a motec tachometer output as the RPM input to a yourdyno V5?

Hi, this may well work, no harm in trying. The signal from the Motec needs to be fairly strong, since the RPM signal has a 500Ohm pullup.
