I have attached a log of a run, hoping to get some input on PID settings for a water brake. Right now they are all .5 except for Kp, that is at .75

I haven't had a ton of luck even swinging those all over the place.

Hi,

The trick is to look at the tab called Brake setup analysis. Click on New tab and create it from the template if you have not done that already. There you see that Kd is much too high and causing all the oscillations. Default is 0.05, and you may want even lower than that.

You can also try Load Control with Gain of 15 and Derivative of 0.03 for example.

@admin

I'm not able to find the tab called "Brake setup analysis". Can you provide guidance please? Using software 3.3.74.

Thanks

@bwatson Click New tab and choose Brake setup analysis from the templates.
