Another minor fix:
- If no Session folder was set, Session options would not persist
You should set a Session folder, this is where all raw log files go and session specific options like gear ratio, PID parameters, etc are stored. You will get a message every time you open the Run window if you have not set a session folder. But options should anyway persist even without a Session folder set. Fixed now.
Hi,
YourDyno version 3.2.121 is available.
- Fixed a bug in Torque readings for 4WD hub setup (when using 2 YourDyno boxes)
- Opened up for more plugin control of the brakes by making a number of functions Public (contact me if yo are interested in making your own brake control algorithm
- Some minor cleanups
YourDyno version 3.2.122 is available.
- Fixed a plugin processing bug in the previous 3.2.121 version
Tuners,
YourDyno software version 3.2.123 is released.
Changes:
- Ability to set Start RPM for the brake ramp-up before the run starts. It is recommended to ramp up the brake before the run starts to get a smoother start. Earlier the ramp-up would always start at 0 RPM (except for Load Control), now the ramp can start at any RPM. For example if your sweep starts at 2000 RPM, you can start the ramp up at 1000 RPM. The brake will then be 0 until the RPM reaches 1000, then it ramps gradually up towards the set Ramp % between 1000 and 2000 RPM
- Merge of the brake ramp up functionality in Load control and the generic ramp up. Earlier, Load control had its own ramp up functionality
- Fixed a bug in Load Control, where when in Manual start mode
- Hopefully(!) fixed a bug that YourDyno would very occasionally not show the curves after a run. A save and open was necessary for the curves to appear
Enjoy! As always, let me know if there are any issues.
hi,
with the two lastest software updates, I must stop the rum manually, even if I set it to stop automatically in the settings...
it there an additional setting that I'm missing?
thanks
@matteozanusso, I have not experienced that myself. Check the Auto start/Stop settings, it will say which RPM it turns off at (either the End RPM, or if you have Retardation run turned on, it will stop when the RPM returns to the start RPM).
If the problem is still there, send me a saved config file so I know your settings and I will check it out.
Greetings tuners!
New software version is out YourDyno version 3.2.125.
Changes:
- By popular demand: A configurable "Splash screen" after the runs that shows in large letters the max Power and Torque. You can change fonts and set auto close, etc. See Options->Post run Splash screen config.
- Moved result calculation after a run into a separate thread. This way you will no longer see the red Low data rate warning, and gauges will continue to update and brake regulation will continue to function while the results are being calculated. Earlier, everything froze for a brief period while results were being calculated
- Improved the Graph gauge. Now the graph is reset when the run begins and is paused when the run ends, so the results stay there after the run. The Graph gauge gets updated also before a run starts and you can reset the Graph gauge with a Hotkey. As before you can set the X-axis to be RPM if you prefer to see the Results vs RPM live.
- A few minor bugs and cleanups here and there
Hope you enjoy it, happy tuning.

sounds great can the splash screen be printed on the graph printout ? cheers
Loving the new updates. My home built dyno is working really well now.
I would 2nd what Boz has asked about with hp/torque being displayed similar to the splash screen on the actual graph. It would be really good if you could have multiple "tags" showing the figures in different areas of your choice along the graph.

I support the previous message.
There is also a proposal for the boost graph to be displayed on the general graph and not in a separate window at the bottom.
@dmitry-maday, you can put the curves where you want them. Just drag the label with the mouse :-).

I did not know that this is possible)))

Got RPM reading issue after update:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BTyev6RORQ
As you see, RPM go skyrocket after few seconds after controller reboot.
Using build-in DynoMite RPM sensor (one pulse per revolution) - had no RPM-related issues in older FW/SW version.
@mr-y, I don't know exactly what is going on there, but my guess is a faulty RPM signal. If you send me a raw .log file (jostein@yourdyno.com) then I can take a look.
Also, for your main RPM input you must use a trigger wheel. 1 pulse per revolution will not give enough updates to calculate the acceleration torque. See brake/Roller RPM sensors - YourDyno.com
