Q&A Forum
Yeah I like correction factors being shown as well.
Shows customers that your remaining honest about your number since theres plenty of shops that do a run on say 1.0 correction factor. Then set correction factory to like 1.2 do another run and call the car tuned.
Also they can convert back to raw values which is useful when comparing winter to summer tunes.
@bmgjet the MOI settings is one of the "correction" factor what can mislead the customer if the tuner want it..., I always doing a measurement before start the tune (if it is applicable) and all other subsequent measurement will be done with same settings on that car.
Independently from the #s I always comparing/howing the curves where we added more power.
BTW the street runs always prove our work 🙂 and the customers comes back wid a wide smile on his/her face.
@radics1 enviromental which is OK, also was showed the static corerction factor.
the MOI setting will alter the final crank HP/Tq values alot.
The "static" correction factor is on the options/Horse Power Correction settings page.
the coasting's run corerction factor is not showed anywhere, the correction can be wieved if you see together the engine vs wheel power/Tq.
The MOI correction can be checked if you compare a static RPM test's Tq with the RUN test's Tq at the given RPM.
Just a quick question - why does it show Power [HP] and MAP [PSI] at gauge screen, when I have selected "metric units" in options? The rest of the gauges is in metric, as I would expect. MAP would be nice to have in either bar or kPa.
Thanks.
@trinom, for MAP or any other Aux sensor you can set any unit in the Aux setup.
For Power, yes it should be possible to choose kW. It may come later. Most people are ok with HP, so it is not very high priority.
Thank you, that's exactly what I wanted to know. I'm fine with HP too, but PSI is not exactly my cup of a tea. I remapped the AUX channel to kPa and it's better 🙂
Greetings tuners!
YourDyno version 3.2.59 was released today. Changes:
- Support for external environmental sensors. Practical if the YourDyno box is inside a cabinet for example. Here is the sensor that is supported and here is the plugin. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E90G_9IxPfo&
- Access to the menu where you turn on and off visibility of graphs by right-clicking in a graph ('v' is the standard shortcut)
- Noise or bumps in retardation data measurements are removed now also for the first retardation run (not only when you use stored retardation data).
Enjoy!
i hope to test last version this week! so i can compare with the version im using. Thank you !!!!
Hi, i updated to the last version and now i get two diferente Windows separating torque from power. I had it all unified. How can i change it back to only one window showing torque and power? thank you
Just drag the torque axis into the window where you have the power.
Tuners,
YourDyno Beta version 3.2.68 is available now. It has considerable amount of changes under the hood and functionality wise:
- Support for different languages. Check out https://yourdyno.com/yourdyno-in-your-own-language/ on how to contribute to the translations.
- Support for 4WD hub dynos using two YourDyno boxes. I will add a video on how this is done, contact jostein@yourdyno.com if you are interested
- Added an "Advanced..." option under RPM setup, where you can decide which wheel pair of a 4WD car are the primary driving wheels. This can be beneficial in cases when there is no traditional center diff, rather the car is primarily front or rear drive and only starts using the other wheel set when needed.
- Fixed a bug in the brake curve tab when there was a difference in decimal point (',' or '.') of the stored curve and the current culture
- Some other minor cleanups
Note that it is a Beta release. Upgrade when you have a bit of time to verify.
Let me know if there are any issues.
Note: You need the latest version of ScanTool.dll and PTH200.dll if you use these plugins with YourDyno v3.2.68.
YourDyno_translation.slp wasn't found, it shows me Error 404.
