Chassis dyno design will be influenced  by the type of vehicles you plan to test plus horsepower levels?

Building a chassis dyno would be nice but have you considered  a hub_dyno biuld ?

All depends on your needs and funds available  to play with.

Posting picture(s) i use the " Choose file "  and select a picture out of my documents on my pc or mobile phone. This only allows one picture at a time per thread reply.  Would be nice if someone enlighten me  as well how to download multiple pictures in one reply.

The brake that I am going to serve is a frenelsa f16-140.
The power for what I want to do is in the 650Hp environment, I wanted to make a 2-roller dyno, how do you see it?

It's all about what your target, power you wanna handle , if you wanna handle 500hp at steady mode or just 800hp in a simple test run..in any of that case you will need very different brakes.

F16-140 is kinda small , i have a roller dyno i have to rebuild for sell, and it used F16-250 one.

The idea is for low-power cars, but for example my bmw already has 440hp and 495nm and with a view to increasing that power.
If that brake is small I will look for a bigger one, whoever gives it to me has more.
Now what I would be interested to know is to start manufacturing the rollers, and support.

try to look F16-160 as minimun, anyway if you have any truck yunyard near yo your location, visit and see what they have, Telma is another brand made good brakes. 

About rollers, if you cant make these yourself, maybe check in this forum, sales forum someone have been offering rollers for good price, also in facebook groups there are some people offering balanced rollers for differents sizes.

Best bet find a decommissioned Bosch chassis dyno pwith right sized electric brake in iit and just add Jostein's blue box system.

Still say you should strongly consider doing a scratch build HUB_DYNO .... eliminates tyre slippage altogether.

I can give you my DD650  chassis dyno dimensions this is a larger version than Dyno Dynamics DD450 model.

Hi Mach1, I did not want to do that type of dyno because I would have to make couplings for all wheel sizes, find 2 equal brakes.
So I want to make a 2 roll.
I will try to find a more powerful brake, I will create a new topic when construction begins.
