What are the software settings for the DTEC Adapter?

YourDyno Hardware

Firmware 1.28 Software 3.3.40.0

Earlier Hardware probably 3 years old

I noticed that the RPM settings tab on the run page under RPM settings is gone (only gear ratio which I set manually)

Under Options RPM / Frequency tab I set the RPM 1 to VR/Load Cell 1 (gauge does read Load Cell RPM 1 correctly on run page)

What do I set the DTEC adapter to? "Load Cell 2", "Load Cell 1 + 2 RPM", "Frequency Channel", "Digital on/off", ""Flow Meter", "Other RPM Channel" ?

Thanks

Roger

Use RPM2 and set it as "Other RPM channel" in the RPM/Frequency channel setup. Call it something like RPM Pickup or DTEC RPM or something like that.

Then it appears in the drop down list of channels you can use for gear ratio setting. You can also plot it together with the Engine RPM channel to see slip, or create a math channel to calculate slip.

Just to tag onto this (and save creating a new subject with a similar question)

I've had continued trouble with the dtech unit and have not been able to get a good readout with any configuration.

I've currently got it powered through an external power device (plugs into our 240v mains, is a 12-14v selectable supply)

Have it wired as per instructions.

I haven't tried to set up the input since I've updated firmware/software as per the above, but I've been pretty much at my wit's end with the whole thing and essentially binned the idea.

I'd love to make it work.
