New software will not work on my v4 system. Have tried and tried.
Anyone have a config file that works on a v4 for the newer software I can try
Im running 3.2.162.0 on my v4 controlling an eddie current brake . Only because I can't get any of the newer software updates to work. on old software on "gear ratio setup when i click "lock" my engine rpm and rpm2 shows same number in both areas. also the gear ratio setup screen disappears. not the case now. engine rpm and rpm2 shows different numbers after i press lock and it doesn’t disappear . brake will not apply a load except in gear ratio setup
My Motor tach lead goes through a sparkfun opto isolator and plugged in the “rpm2 slot.
In the “engine rpm source” only have :tacho, and enter gear ratio manually options
I have attached my config file.

@osi, RPM2 must be configured as Other RPM channel if you use it as the Engine RPM pickup, otherwise it will not show up in the Gear ratio drop down. Maybe that is the reason. If not, send me your saved config file to jostein@yourdyno.com
@osi, one more thing to check. Save your options and open it in a text editor. Search for autoSetGearRatio and if you find it, set it to false. Read back the config file.
the autoSetGearRatio is already set to false. I tried "True" which didnt work either . I also sent you a config file on friday
Again dyno wont apply a load will manually in options and gear ratio set only.
do I need to purchase a V5 ??

@osi, I checked your config file. RPM2 was set to Load cell2 RPM, which is incorrect. Load cell2 RPM is used in case you have two load cells. In your case you need to set it to "Other RPM channel". Then it will pop up in the drop down menu when setting gear ratio.
