Hi! im looking for to add an sensor that can read vaccum and pressure, just tried before GM sensor and looks like only read pressure..does it? i'd like to get readings as a boost gauge..let say -1 / - 0.5  / 0 / 0.5 / 1 /  1.5 / 2 bar. what sensor would be good for this?

Thanks!

Any map sensor should work if it can read the pressure your after.
Im using a Honda Map sensor which reads, 29 inch to 12psi.
Have it set to read in KPA since makes it a bit more simple to read since atmosphere is 100kpa.

I'm old fashioned and atmospheric pressure should be referencing as zero where you have manifold vacuum in negative pressure and anything above atmosphere is postive pressure ( boost) and prefer inches units example a good running stock normaly aspirated engine at idle should pull -22inHg and at wide open throttle (WOT) under load with no induction restriction should pull  - 0 inHg.

For turbo/supercharged ( boosted) engine you see at ( WOT)  +7 psi above atmospheric pressure . ( what ever boost you have maximum boost adjusted too.)

Try www.banggoods.com I find their service good and very competitive prices.

Here is just one simple search  i did for example purposes    https://m.banggood.com/buy/sensor-map.html

You will have to decide what your requirements are .

It would be nice if yourdyno software could display a face gauge like this  and down the bottom a digit numerical number alongside it on the face of the gauge

I’m using Bosch 0261230439 MAP sensor. It can measure from 28,9 kpa to 400 kpa so it can measure 3bar of boost 🙂

Hi, that would be veeery good!

About to start from Zero, it's good, but sometimes dyno is not always for to Reading power, it's good for to diagnostique problems on some cars.

Thanks for your replies!

The Vacuum/boost gauge isn't just used for WOT full noise power runs purposes.
