Hi guys, do all temperature senders work on resistance rather than voltage? how do i set the parameters for resistance on temp senders? thanks

Hi,
There are two types of temperature sensors; thermocouples (typically used for exhaust and other very high temperature areas) and Thermistors. Thermistors are used for air and water temperature for example. They are resistors with resistance that vary with temperature. You hook them up in series with a fixed resistor and connect this (resistor in series with thermistor) to 5V and 0V. The point between the resistor and thermistor connects to one of the Aux inputs.
The curve is non-linear, so you have to add several points on the AUX graph.
