We have gotten two requests lately about support for using pressure sensors instead of load cells for hydraulic dynos. This is somewhat less accurate than a load cell, since the pump efficiency varies somewhat over the operating range/temperature, but very simple in terms of the mechanical construction, since the pump housing does not need to be able to rotate. For many tuners who are mostly interested in relative performance, it is good enough.

Pressure sensors are currently not supported by YourDyno, but support is on the to-do list! It is a pure software upgrade. Watch this space... Let us know if you are interested in support for pressure sensors.
