Just wondering around before ordering yourdyno .

My current setup that im building is hubdyno big Telmas and planning to buy everything from yourdyno

The question is if im using the rpm inputs for the hubs how can i use the rpm pickup signal from spark plug wire to use it as main rpm command for the dyno or at least monitor the converter slippage percentage . i am talking about cars with no can bus or obd2 .

Can somebody recommend a setup or a solution

Hello and welcome.

There are a number of ways to get the Engine RPM. See here: https://yourdyno.com/YourDynoHelp/engine-rpm/

i mean if you want to do steady state with high stall converter and you want the yourdyno to use engine rpm pickup to hold the hubs , you have no additional digital inputs , is there a way to add external rpm signal to usb and use plugin

If you use both RPM in puts for brake RPM, then you can still use RPM from OBD2 or from CAN bus. The Digital I/O ports on the YourDyno box will be available for frequency based sensors (like fuel flow for example) and also for engine RPM, but this is not yet implemented.

The VM167 has a  32 bit pulse counter up to 1MHz input frequency, pulse width is >0.5us  pulse amplitude is 5V.

ReadCounter
Syntax
unsigned int ReadCounter(int CardAddress);
Parameter
CardAddress: The address of previously opened card.
Result
unsigned int: The content of the 32 bit pulse counter.
Description
The function returns the status of the 32 bit pulse counter.
The counter counts the pulses fed to the digital terminal number 1. Both input and output pulses are counted. The
counter increments on the rising edge.
Example
TextBox1->Text = (ReadCounter(CardAddress)).ToString();

This could possibly be used in conjunction with the MSD 8918 RPM pickup which would give Engine RPM over usb with the other data polled, though would require VM167 plugin to be modified as such.
