I would like to have the ability to monitor 12v battery voltage on my YourDyno gauge panel. Is there a device I can use to turn my 0-12v battery voltage into a 0-5 volt signal to input to YourDyno via one of the AUX inputs?? Thanks
Hi,
That's possible with a suitable resistor divider. Which YourDyno version do you have? Open the box if you are unsure. I can let you know the right resistors to use.
I just placed the order last Thursday for my yourdyno package. I will let you know which version when it arrives. Thanks for the help.
Ok, you will receive a Standard v5. It has a 20k input resistance. So if you add a ~40k resistor in series with the 12V input then you can read 0-15V. In the Aux setup you configure 0V input to be 0V and 5V input to be 15V.
@admin Thanks for the help. So this is what they call a voltage divider? This is so cool. Now I’m curious if there’s a way to use one of the aux inputs to monitor a second thermocouple. I think I read someplace that this is possible utilizing a small conditioner board. This project has been so much fun. It’s finally coming together. Thanks
would this amp allow me to add a second thermocouple?
