Hi.
The issue is that the losses in a eddy current brake fan isnt linear. It increases quite alot when the brake is at higher rpm
Its no problem when the losses is measured during coast down. In that way the increasing loss is captured and calculated in the engine hp graph.
If you want to measure the wheel hp it will give you problems because the loss isnt linear. In that way the reading will be quite different depending on brake rpm
Hope its understandable
im not an expert 🙂
That makes sense. Thank you. For me currently that won't be an issue, since there is a water brake fitted, however I am keeping my eye out for an Eddy current retarder to maybe swap in. If I do, I'll keep this effect in mind.
Can you please explain he total correction formula, as it doesn't look right to me?

Just started using the latest from .129, I see that it picks my system language for column description under the main screen and it doesn't change even choosing another language from the option.
@dev, on the total correction formula.
The confusion is on the power correction factor. The reason is that the correction is seen from the engine i.e. you lose x %, so Wheel power = Engine power * (1 - x%). To calculate the Engine power the correction factor becomes Engine power = wheel power * 1 / (1 - x%).
Tuners,
A very minor bug fix, in that the OBD2 RPM had dropped out of the Engine RPM source in Gear Ratio setup. Fixed here:
Cheers,
@admin does anyone else have trouble updating ? 3.2.129, 3.2.136 & 3.2.137

.138 doesn't seem to be on the server, I get e a 404 error when clicking on "yes" to update software.
@breastfed, I have not seen that problem. Maybe a reboot does the trick? Or try to uninstall the previous version first.
@six_shooter, 137 is the latest, I fixed the auto-update that showed 138 is the latest.

@admin I rebooted 3 x no joy, Tried to install to a new folder .... same error every time.
Ill try the uninstall option next

I still have error during setup, maybe it’s better to uninstall yourdyno and setup it again?
I’m worried no not be able to use the dyno if something goes wrong…
Untill now, after setup error, i’m able to restart yourdyno with the older version: the setup error doesn’t corrupt the intalled version
Hi,
Seems there was a library issue in version 3.2.137.

Same issue here, uninstalled the software, rebooted windows, but setup always stops.
now, I can't setup old software, too....I'm without the dyno...!
Problem solved:
updated windows and .NET Framework
setup ended correctly
thanks
