Q&A Forum
ah, i was looking in the inertia dyno settings menu. Thanbks - I haven't done this for a while 😀
Greetings tuners!
YourDyno version 3.2.133 was released today. Changes:
- New MOI wizard for brake dynos. Much easier to use! Let me know your feedback on this. Check out the settings, in particular you may adjust the engine MOI a bit depending on the engine.
- Added Hotkey for the MOI Wizard
- Introduced an Auto save option (saves a .csv file of each run in the Session folder)
- Proper translation for German and French language
- Fixed a bug where it was not possible to cut the beginning and end of a run
- Fixed a bug when data channel names contained "("
- A few other cleanups here and there
Enjoy!
One issue I see on the MOI wizard, is that the wizard says to accelerate to 180 Kph, but the speed gauge shows that it is in MPH. I don't know if this is just a display mismatch in units or if the speed gauge will actually read in MPH, since I don't have my dyno set up yet, either way, having the speed gauge match the required speed will make it less confusing and easier to get right.
I did a little more playing around and changed the preferred units under options from imperial to metric and now the speed gauge shows kph, instead of MPH, so that matches a little better lol.
So a suggestion on that, those readings should match in unit type, whether the speed gauge defaults to kph, or the "Accelerate to..." follow the preferred units, would help streamline the use of the MOI wizard.
@six_shooter, thanks for the bug report, I will fix!
My norton virus scan will not let me load this version version 3.2.133 Says has a trojan the previous version works.
I have questions but will put them in a different link
@osi, yes very annoying. I just got a new code signing certificate, so then some virus scanners flag it until the algorithms see that the certificate is safe to trust. There is no trojan in there ;-).
Tuners!
YourDyno version 3.2.134 was released today.
Small fix only:
This version fixes the mph unit indication when running imperial units. A "Default" button is also added to set the max MOI test speed.
Enjoy!
Hi. Please make a separate tab for vehicles with variator. So that the measurement is controlled through speed.
Tell me, how much can MOI gearboxes differ in different gears from the same machine?
latest version will not open run window for some reason. opens but blank
@dmitry-maday, the MOI will differ somewhat between different gears because the engine has MOI and it is spinning at a different rate compared with the rollers in different gears.
@manyponies, could it be you need to turn on the gauges? Let me know if this persists

Is there a 1.52 MOI difference between 4th and 5th gears? On the fourth 10.09 MOI and on the fifth 11.61 MOI
