Q&A Forum
Hi, if you upgraded from firmware 1.18 or before then that would happen if you rebooted the PC with YourDyno connected. A connect and reconnect would enable the download. That is fixed from 1.20 and onward. You can verify by pressing the upgrade button again, it will work right away. Let me know if it does not.
thanks guys! I will try that 🙂
I found the rpm pickup setup but am having a little trouble with it I have a 20 tooth wheel on my other computer I have it set on 20 and it works perfectly on the new computer on 20 it reads to high I have to set it to 30 to get it close but not sure its 100% correct
Always set the number of teeth to the correct value. The difference you see is from different gear ratios. There are several ways to set gear ratio, you can also copy the number from the other PC.
Ok I didn't realize it had a default of 1.5 to 1 my setup is 1 to 1 thanks
Hi thanks all for the assistance yesterday seems to have done the trick
Hi! ive been playin a bit with Print page setup. set Font doesnt work properly, tried to change size and nothing happens.. should be good to make a box that everything introduced there Will appear same in the dyno sheet.
Hi,
I have a unit about 2 months old, There is no external marking on it to determine which version it is.
First question; A note came up asking to update firmware. The menu ask which version it is? What is my answer and do I need an update?
Next , For the roll down drag calculation. How do I get it to plot the retardation drag? Yo have said to right click some thing etc. Right click what ?
Last ;for now I have AFR on channel one . How can I get it to plot vs RPM , for full pulls?
Thanks a lot. MM
Hi,
The firmware version needs to match the software version, so yes you need to do the upgrade. Just click "Upgrade to latest firmware". The system will download the correct file automatically. All units with the blue box are version 4.
To see the coast drag, see wheel hp and wheel torque. It is negative on the retardation phase. You can select what parameters to plot with the 'v' key. Then right-click and choose "Set scale to default" to see the full curve.
Select the AFR channel from the list when pressing 'v'. Same shortcut for gauges.
Where is the instruction manual? I can find nothing regarding setting this up . Not happy .
How do I get to the window that allows the V key to do anything?
Protech, lots of info on dyno setup in the wiki. Other than that, there is a lot of explanations in the software itself.
You can use the 'v' key in the main graph window and in the Run window with the gauges.
Greetings tuners,
YourDyno version 3.2.38 was released today.
Changes:
- Added functionality to set a fixed brake % after the run is done to quickly slow down the rollers/brakes.
- Corrected a bug which would give a slight inaccuracy in torque numbers when using two brakes and the brakes have different speed (HP was not impacted).
Cheers!
Would it be possible to add a print screen like this?
I have fahrenheit selected and its reading right but it says C
Good! i guess leaving it to Zero, Will not Works, does it? it's important to my dyno since we measure drivetrain losses for HPcrank calculation..
