Hi Julian , What neck of the woods are you in Australia ? You're keen to g into your workshop with that heat! yes it's hot today here also, weather Melbourne, Australia Current Temp: 38.9 C (102.2 F) - Feels Like: 100 F (41 C) - Humidity: 31% - Weather: Clear - Wind: From the ENE at 15.5 MPH Gusting to 21.5 MPH.

I am about 80km north of Canberra. Got into the workshop while it was still a bit cool.
I got YourDyno sensor mounted with original tooth wheel. Simple use of washers to change gap. I have gap pretty small!
Pretty good waveform on scope:
Lots of mess. YourDyno software shows roller speed without any apparent glitches (at least at low speed - not yet put a car on it). Tomorrow I might try to get the load cell wired-in and calibrated, then try to set up brake control. Too hot to do any more today.
Speed sensor working well.
Have load cell calibrated.
When controlling eddy current power supply manually, I can read power and torque figures.
But....
The YourDyno 0-5V analog brake output is not working properly. It just outputs a fixed, random voltage (it changes when YourDyno is unplugged and re-booted) but then doesn't respond at all to the 'test brake output' slider position. (I have selected the 'analog output' option.)
I've tried everything I can think of but to no avail.
Any ideas?

Have you moved the interal jumpers.
No I haven't! Where are the details on that plse?
Found the webpage reference - checking now.
How are you finding the information avaliable?
Would having all that install infomation in a single PDF be more useful?
That fixed the output - thanks a lot. Silly of me to have missed the instruction about the jumpers.
Yes I think that YourDyno urgently need a pdf set-up guide!
Ill see if jostein wants to put one together or I will.
bmgjet,
I will add a wiki page where anyone can contribute and we moderate.
My aim is that the software is so self explanatory that no manual is needed, explanation is in the program. But hardware setup, tutorials, quick starts, theory background etc are better left in a manual or wiki. We can include lessons learned and setups for specific dynos that people have converted, where people can contribute.
Thanks, I will set up wiki page, and thanks to everyone who will contribute! I will add you as a moderator bmgjet.
First complete runs - low and high boost (1 litre turbo... that doesn't breathe very well at higher revs). Not yet properly corrected for roller inertia.

- Nice going Julian it's ALIVE!
- How are you going to correct the rotating asseblies moment of interia?
