Q&A Forum
Hi,
I've been in contact with several european eddy current break suppliers and thought it would be useful to compile a list of suitable retarders aswell as pricing and contact info.
Industrias Zelu SL (KLAM) Klam recommends their CFK-300 as the price difference is so small.
CFK-200
- 192v
- 2000 Nm
- €2700
CFK-300
- 192v
- 2600 Nm

Frenelsa

I am still waiting for quotes from Telma, and will update this post once i get them. I also have the datasheets for these and some more breaks if someone is interested.
Hi.
I have already ordering at Kloft Retarder ( Really high price compare to others ) but Klam has better price in europe, Klam CFK-140 (1700 nm - 192 v) starting 2350 € exc tax.
And i think, you can do the same for heavy rollers for chassis dyno, i think it's a good idea your post !
from any reliable store you could purchase breaks for eddy, there are few websites too which are selling it on affordable prices.
Hello Sir,
Can anybody share the catalogue of frenelsa F16 dynamometer ?
Sorry for bumping an old post. But has anyone had any experience with Chinese eddy retarders? Say the likes of alibaba ones.
where are you from?

hi iam making a motorcycle dyno and looking for eddy current brake typical engine torque is 200nm at 7200rpm 300hp at the crank. Final gear ratio at the wheel approx 1 to 2.3 reduction (18" dia wheel including tyre) 18" drum, rotation whould work out around 4000rpm at 200mph.
any idea what eddy current brake to use? surely it does not need to be 3200nm as mentioned above? what size engines hp and torque are your dynos measuring please? any help appreciated.
