@glennt, did you use the latest 3.2.96 version of the software? CANTool is included in the installation file, you select it during installation. If this is how you installed it, what error message do you get?

Don't download the plugin, install CANTool via the YourDyno installer. The fact that you list the version of the CANTool indicates you downloaded it rather than installed it with the YourDyno installer?

@admin

I have also installed cantool via yourdyno installation as you mention at least 5 times with the same problem.

When I installed it on another computer it worked fine. But l can't use that one for the dyno.

I wonder if there is some crap left in the C:\ProgramData\YourDynoPlugins folder. Can you exit YourDyno and delete everything in this folder and restart the YourDyno installer, select Modify. You can select the CANTool again to only install that (and other plugins you want). No need to reinstall the whole program.

If this does not help, try to put the attached ControlCAN.dll in the installation folder. It is a bit of a hack, I don't know what your computer is missing.

@glennt or anyone with this problem:

Download and install this USB CAN program. It works with the CAN adapter and includes the C++ libraries needed. The CANTool will have all the libraries it needs after this install.

https://www.yourdyno.com/USB_CAN%20TOOLSetup(V2.12).exe

Cheers!

l  have got the drivers from ecu master so its working now.

but l have one more question.

is there any lower limit for egt temp in yourdyno?

why im woundering is because yourdyno showing 4800-5200 c and ecumaster showing the 20 c .

You don't need any drivers from ECUMaster to read the ECUMaster EGT module via YourDyno. Not sure I understand what the problem was earlier? Did you mean your ECUMaster USB to CAN adapter? Anyway, good it is connected now.

If the readings are wrong, check the settings in the CAN channel definition. Maybe big endian/little endian or something like that.
