HI all, my name is Ivan I am from Spain, i want to share with all of you my dyno conversion to yourdyno.
First of all i want to thank Jostein all the help and to be so patient with me.
The dyno room:
I am using bosch fla load cell, here you can see how i connected it to yourdyno:
I am using rpm sensor from yourdyno with original trigger wheel but with every 2 tooth removed having 50 teeths.
I am even using original sensor place with a spacer for having 2mm room between sensor and wheel.

Here is a picture of my power supply where brake wires control must to be connected, is has polarity at least on my set up if wires are connected on opossite way it doesnt work.
I have connected brake directly from yourdyno box, so my maximum brake power is 5v thats means i have just half power of my brake (fla work 0-10v), i have to make circuit as it is explained on forum by Jostein for having full power 10 v.

I have set MOI to 10.7 and calibration are made with a weight of 100 kg, my power factor correction is set to 15 % , reading looks quite real and accurate with this set up.
Next week i will change all ball bearing and i will tried to claculate MOI again.
Numbers of fla ball bearings are SN210 FAG and it has 6 of them.

Why is it necessary to make a power correction?
If you enter the correct MOI then it is not necessary to make a correction?

HI again, today i have been on a maha dyno for comparing runs with mine, for matchs numbers with both dynos, my set up end up with 11.5 moi and 7,5 power correction.
one important thing to have in mind is that maha use ps unit and yourdyno hp, there is a little diference, and most dynos at least here in spain use DIN correction, with always show higher numbers than sae iso and ewg (those are almost identical, just decimals differences).
Using SAE correction on both and converting ps to hp, numbers match perfectly on a tdi and 2 petrol engines, range of 150-200 hp.
Between SAE and DIN there are arround 6 7 hp difference on a 165 hp engine.
ON the other hand brake control works better on yourdyno that on that maha, rpm calibration works far better on yourdyno than on that maha, even runs comparison is better on yourdyno.

For me the 11,5moi works perfectly fine, numbers are good on diesel and petrol cars, although I mostly do petrol cars.
think I remember jostein has it at 10,7 but that was measured with his bike engine kit car I guess. Way less rotating mass on that vs normal cars
I use 15% power correction and the numbers match what is to be expected between the range of 50-450hp cars.
one thing to keep in mind is diesels gear ratio’s are wildly different. On petrol cars I always use the gear before final gear, on diesels I use 2 gears down from highest gear.
yes, since last update i use 10% brake when calculating gear ratio.
One thing to think about is to do the gear ratio calculation while applying load to the brake. This options ensures the tires are loaded when setting the gear ratio.
My problem is that i can´t find correct number for all cars, and if i change configuration for each kind of car ir will not be possible to have a real reference.
Problem looks to be just with tdi cars, if i applied 10% on power correction power and futhermore torque is crazy high, but on the other hand if i use this numbers on a na petrol engine or turbo petrol power looks ok.
Moi have been calculate it lots of times and looks very accurate, the only think i think could be problem is o a bad calibration of my load cell (i did it more than 10 times) or on a load cell not much accurate.

Hi,
Your MOI might be slightly too high. So you reduce it a little and add some power correction.
If your engine numbers are "correct" with Power correction at 0 then likely your MOI is too high. The reason is that there is definitely some power loss in the transmission at full power, so you should need to correct for it.
Another thing to note is that engine power calculation is always an estimation. You never know the exact losses, we are trying to estimate them. You might need different power correction factors for different cars. Even the MOI changes somewhat from car to car due to wheel weights/size and transmission MOI.
HI again guys, i wonder if some of you have the same problem than me.
I calculated the moi and i think now is almost perfect or very close, it is set to 11.5 like tutuur i calculated it with diferents cars and 11.5 looks the best number.
But i have a problem with power numbers, if i make a run with this configuration with a tdi car numbers looks ok same power as it should but on other cars like na engines or turbo from renault or honda, numbers looks a bit low like 10% i noticed when i start to runs high power cars.
If i applied a % of power corrections tdi engines give too much power and futhermore torque.
Someone of you have similar problem, is like i had to use different calibration for each kind of engine which i think have no sense.
@tutuur do you apply any % power correction on your dyno?
I start to think that maybe my load cell is the problem and thinking to upgrade it to a new one, it has arround 30 years maybe it is no so accurate as new models...
A bosch fla 203 is similar to a DD650max ? How so ? The utube clip is worth a 1000 pictures.

Lol my chassis dyno is in the ground ....... and have mounting points for different wheel base lengths for front wheels also in the concrete..... where there is a will there is a way!
that setup will be good if you use ramps and dyno is not in the ground.
