Hey guys, awesome work you have done here.

I have one different question and I would really like your input, being more knowledgeable into this topic.

Do you think fabricating a 5000 hp dyno is doable? I am talking about bigger power generator engines.

How would it be better made? Using an  Eddy current hub dyno or a hydraulic pump for example?

Once again awesome work

sure! i think the best dyno type for this application is a Dyno hub, for 5000hp pretty sure you will need 2 big brakes per axle. what i dont know if if yourdyno can manage 4 eddy brakes.

Hi,

5000 hp is definitely possible! Expensive, but possible.

There are water brakes that can do such power levels, see for example http://www.jadsys.com/schenk-water-brake-dynamometers.html

You can also get large Eddy current brakes, that can be put in parallel if necessary. YourDyno can control up to two Eddy current brakes independently, but if you run them in parallel you would only use one YourDyno control output into two (or more) Eddy current brake power supplies.
