i have used a obdlink Bluetooth adapter to get the CAN data from a Haltech for a android project I was playing with, they are based on the ELM adapters.

the Haltech CAN is 1MB and uses 11bit headers. not sure if the code for the obd plugin could be modified to work.

would need to be able to specify a initialization string for the obdlink this enables you to set the speed and enable the datastream.

then would need to be able to set the ID and what bytes of the data you wanted to capture  and how to convert the data to something meaningful.
