Small Engine / Eddy Brake

I picked up an old emissions dyno that supposedly  absorbs only 25hp.  Thought it would be perfect for my application, testing engines from 8 to 15 HP.  Upon taking this thing apart I found that the brake was physically much larger then expected.  The rotor is 55cm in diameter and 34mm thick.  The stator has  2 (large) magnetic coils.  Somewhat obviously this flywheel will have considerable inertia and my concern is if this brake can be effective for my purposes.  Should I continue or head in a different direction?

Hi, the inertia is no problem. YourDyno calculates the power coming from the load cell + from the acceleration of the inertia. All dynos have some inertia, as long as it is compensated for it is ok!
