Is it a good or bad idea to gear up the brake so it runs faster than the roll on the dyno? my brake is not that Big so it was to get some more braking ability. My roller runs at about 3000rpm when the car drives 200km/h.

is it a eddy current brake? then yes the faster it spins the move power it can take as the cooling airflow is normally proportional to the rotor speed. You must only make sure you do not exceed the max rpm by to much as it would risk damaging the bearings or worse grenade the rotors.
