Q&A Forum
Hello Community
I have an eddy current dyno for tractortesting. I have recently upgraded eddy current retarder with brand new frenelsa 4200NM brake. Due to my old power supply (SKPC220 and SKCH28) didnt support enough power i had to upgrade that too. I stayed with same solution and have purchased SKPC440 and SKCH40. The power supply is connected exactly like described on this website, include filter and fuses, and have been working perfect with old power supply.
Now i have problems with the new power supply. It sends 370V DC out to retarder at all time. no matter if i connect/disconnect yourdyno 0-5v signal. if i unplug G1 AND G2 then voltage drops to 0. with G1 and G2 disconnected from SKCH40 i can measure 200V at SKPC440 G1 and G2 at all time.
Have anybody had a similar problem? Or do you have ideas on how to solve the problem? What kind of signal (frequency i guess) should i measure on the gates?
Regards
ADD: If i remove fuse F1 0,5A then i have same issue. it doesnt change anything described above.
SKPC100-440, as here?
I may be wrong, but it doesn't appear to want a 0-5V analog input. One of the diagrams in the app sheet says 'input logic signal from phase angle converter'. ie it need an external phase angle converter as well.
(It's a bit hard to be certain because of the change in part no and the app sheet appears to be a generic one also)
For the old powersupply i used https://dk.rs-online.com/web/p/thyristor-triggermoduler/0658148/ , and it was working absolutely fine.
The new one is this https://dk.rs-online.com/web/p/thyristor-triggermoduler/2963981/?sra=pmpn
I think they should be idendical beside voltage specification. But i might be wrong
As you say, that should be fine.
Is it 3 phase now while it was 2 phase before?
Before was N and L1(1 phase i believe, 230v between them). Now is L1 and L2 connected, with 400v between (2 phase)
