Hi,

Can you save the options (Options->Backup options to file) and send it to me at jostein@yourdyno.com? I will check.

In the meantime if you're in a hurry, you can exit YourDyno and delete this directory: (navigate with a file explorer):

%localappdata%\Fonneland_Engineering

Then restart YourDyno. It will have fresh options.

Please send me the saved options file first, so I can fix this for the next release.

Ah, ok thanks. I will make a check in the software so that the error message is clear in that case.

the error pops up when you select rpm curve. i put it out and the error was gone. I did a gear ratio setup with the tacho and now the error stays away

Maybe you can ask me the question here so other people can read about it. What do you want to know?

Hey.

What is the maximum power that this dyno can measure?
Are you satisfied with this software or do you have any comments about it?

Have you some photos how to connect a strain gauge to a telma brake.

google translate is my best friend😀

Hi Domino,

If you read this topic most of your questions are answered. I still use the original strain gauge of the MAHA. A technical guy from Maha UK told me they stil use the same one on the latest models. I attached it to the yourdyno and calibrated it with some weight and ik works fine. The signal is very linear. I measured the internal resistance of the Telma CC160 brake (11,8 ohm) and connect it to 200 volt. And set the maximum current of the power supply to 16 Ampere. I use the power supply from sportdevices. Simple installing and reliable in use. For the speed sensor trigger wheel i used a 36 tooth the camshaft chainwheel from a Volkswagen 1.4 TSI distribution. Did some machining to make it fit on the axle of the original triggerwheel. And made the yourdyno hall sensor on the original place of the old inductive speedsensor. And it works fine! I got a wire diagram of the LPS 13. I will post a picture of the connections but have to find it on my workshop.

Here you have the wiring diagram of the load cell (strain gauge).

Time for some update here. I was testing with my setup witout having good straps to secure te car on the dyno. But that went not zo good..... So is made a constuction in the floor to make it work well. Last 2 weeks everyting was finely ready so i can now testing end setting the system. I think that i know how to set te PID but i am still stuggeling to set the right parameters. I think i have done more than a 100 runs and still got problems to set the system. I don't get the right horsepower and torque numbers. I have been testing with a VW scirocco with 360 HP and a VW UP! 60 HP. I get the brake right but it still is very instable sometimes. And i don't get a nice graph zo i can find the MOI of the MAHA. I also have a problem with the retardation. During the retardation the horsepower and torque gauges go to there maximum for a wink of an eye. So the diagraph is not good. Also the brake works fine but at higher engine RPM the brake is acting weird. I have been testing with the chages of the noisefilters but it gets not better. Also the brake stays at 0 % during retardation wich is good. Is it possible that i have a problem with the original MAHA loadcell (Bar type). MAHA told me they still use the same one on the latest dyno's. Is it maybe possible to send a raw file and someone please check my settings before i going to gange the loadcell.

@devolkswagenman, send me (jostein@yourdyno.com) a raw log file and your saved config file and I will take a look!

Also if you have installed the Brake and gear ratio plugin then save a run as a csv file and I will look at the brake response.
