Q&A Forum
Hi! I wired my inertia dyno to YourDyno box, calibrate gear ratio from tacho source, RPM gauge in YourDyno software on laptop work correct, but HP and Torque numbers very high, about twice from actual for this bike. bike is 150cc minibike, about 10-15hp engine.
MOI of my roller - about 4kg*m^2, its solid steel drum, 325mm diameter and 470mm lenght, plus some axis weights
thigger wheel make on laser cutter from your recomended dxf, 20tooth https://yourdyno.com/20ToothTriggerWheel.DXF sensor optic, have clear square wave signal
if I put MOI 4kg*m^2 in YourDyno setup - calculation about twice higher than expected. what I make wrong?
firmware 1.17, software 3.01.83
thanks
Did you put 20 pulses per rev in the RPM setup? I did a quick calculation, and I agree your MOI should be about 4.
yes, 20 pulses per rev in gear ratio setup, 300kg in roller setup and 32,5cm diameter. .

tried beta 3.2.22 with speedo plugin, interesting result, my minibike have top speed about 200km/h!! 😲 changing teeth from 20 to 40 and gear ratio from 3.25 to 6.5 make adequate result. top speed about 100km/h and power about 10HP.
will try to change roller sensor, looks like sensor make twice pulse per tooth
Hehe, that explains the power figure. Do you have the YourDyno rpm sensor?
I use optical slotted sensor from my old dynomec b1 dyno software. Sensor works looks like fine, but i don't measure pulse period , only signal waveform , its clear without noise. Will play with hall or another optic sensor .
