Hallo to everybodi!
Jostein suggested us to write here on the forum, because we are decided to draw and after build for ourself our engine water brake.
On the web we are found more infos about a different water engine brake…dimension, shape on rotor / stator, etc., and we decided to try to realize on toroidal whit 13” diameter, NO Siamese (like Dynomite for ex)
We are decided more or less all the dimension, but we have some doubt about the radial and axial gp between rotor and stator
We found a draw from Atlantis Industries whit some dimension and, printing and rescaling the draw, we observe that this gap is approx. 3 mm. Someone of you can you help us about this?

I have made my own water brake , double rotor , 150 mm diameter , the brake start to work at 5.0 mm gap , but it doesn't brake much more than 20 hp at 3500 rpm , i am using it now at 1.0 mm gap braking almost 65 ps at the same rpm
gap is very important , from 1.0 to 1.5 your in the ballpark 😉
but anyhow , the pocket size and shape is also very important , if someone interested i will post pics
