Dynojet 250i (USA) with Frenelsa retarder F16-120 EL, does polarity matter when wiring the power supply to the retarder?
The power supply has +++ and --- output but does that polarity matter at the retarder connection?
Just for reference the retarder is 13 ohm's
Thank You

Professor Google below seems to indicate polarity from the power supply does not matter
_______________________________________________________________________
When dealing with an eddy current retarder used in a dynamometer, wiring polarity is critical for the internal coil connections but does not matter for the two main power leads that connect to the power supply.
Polarity for the main power leads For a standard eddy current retarder with two main connections to the power supply, polarity is irrelevant. This is because it operates like a large resistive coil or electromagnet. Current flowing in either direction will generate a magnetic field that interacts with the spinning rotor to create a braking force.
