I am using the system on a stuska water brake.  I have the blue box and a VM167 mounted in an encloser on the back wal of the dyno cell.  The encloser is also the connection point for all of the sensors.

I am using a powered USB to ethernet hub which extend the range of the typical 15 ft USB.     The problem I am having is the consistancy of the connection.  If I take the computer in the cell and blup the Blue box USB staright to the computer the connection is great.  When I take the computer back in the to control room with the 50' ethernet connection the connection sometimes disconnects when things like to solenoids or relays are used in the dyno cell.     I use quite a few relats and solenoids to turn on pumps, fans, ignition, starters ect.   Trying to get some dyno settings dialed in but the lost of connection frequently is making it very hard to do so.

What are others using to connect their computers distantly from the blue box?

I had problems to but mainly due to using non resistor sparkplugs. After using resitor plugs it is fine.

Often is disconnects before I even start the engine. turning on equipment diconnects  it.  None of the systems are intergrated into the blue box or its wiring. Totally seperate systems.

Hi,

You can try a usb isolator, like this one: www.usconverters.com/usb-isolator

It must have its own power supply.
