Hello,
I'm on my second bike on the dyno, this time a 2025 BMW S1000RR. Again, I've tried to connect to CAN line on UnaVision and again, no data displayed. I've checked with my CAN sniffer that there is data displaying at 500 Kb/s, but after selecting the right speed and pressing start, nothing happens.
Getting RPM shouldn't be a problem as the tuning interface has live data recording, so I can closely match RPM with the tacho, but, again, I'd like to be able to get a CAN RPM channel.
Is there something I'm missing?
You should be able to use the CAN bus setup and analyzer just like you CAN bus sniffer. Make sure to "Enable CAN bus" and then click "Start"
If it doesn't show CAN traffic and you sniffer does try swapping CAN H and CAN Low
I addition to what @r-horn says, make sure the bike is grounded.
There are several CAN buses on the S1000RR and you have to know the format to decode it, but you may be aware of all that.
You can use the OBD2 instead?
I did everything as @R Horn says but didn't ground the bike. I'll try next time.
