I am sceptical, but it is always interesting to look at options.

It needs a 0-5V or PWM or similar control input, does it have one? Also, with some SCR controllers we see that they are not made for the speed we need. You want almost instantaneous response when you change the input when controlling eddy brakes. For most applications this is not necessary (heaters, light, even motors), so they are slow. It also needs to be able to drive an inductive load (like a motor), otherwise it will need additional components. It says in the text that it can drive "small motors", yet it is rated for 10,000W which for me would mean a BIG motor. So who knows what that means. 

But it is so cheap, please let use know the results if you test it.

Its closed loop and negative feedback.

I read that somebody had already done this but some reason had not worked.
Can anybody see any reason why it not work?

There was a guy that tested the open loop version with little success. 

The closed loop version may work better, but I don't know if it is fast enough.

My brake is reworked to 96v 40amp 

probably that was another thing why doesnt work corectly

The voltage regulator specifications as following:
input AC:220v/380v - 120A ,

OUTPUT DC: 0-220v/380v.

then I just thinking to use the piggyback engine management analog signal output 0-5v to control the retarder load level. 

is it possible?
