There was a guy that tested the open loop version with little success. 

The closed loop version may work better, but I don't know if it is fast enough.

My brake is reworked to 96v 40amp 

probably that was another thing why doesnt work corectly

Its closed loop and negative feedback.

I read that somebody had already done this but some reason had not worked.
Can anybody see any reason why it not work?

The voltage regulator specifications as following:
input AC:220v/380v - 120A ,

OUTPUT DC: 0-220v/380v.

then I just thinking to use the piggyback engine management analog signal output 0-5v to control the retarder load level. 

is it possible?
