I have a load cell with .4 to 4.5 full scale output. Can this be used with YD v5?

No, amplified load cells with 0-5V output cannot be used as the regular YourDyno load cell. You can likely remove the load cell amplifier though so you have the pure analog sensor. YourDyno has built in amplifier in the instrument box.
