I have made my own water brake , double rotor , 150 mm diameter , the brake start to work at 5.0 mm gap , but it doesn't brake much more than 20 hp...

My water brake is connected at the gear box output and i run it in 4 th gear , so my rpm pickup will not read the engine rpm , how can i compensate it...
