Hello, I'm sure this has been answered but with out search option I am having difficulty finding it. I feel I read somewhere that it was not possible to wire a 12v telma to 192v. I have a CC65 that has the tag restamped to 96V. It ohms outt at 4.9Ohm and individual coils meassure at .3.....am I correct on assuming I will need to run this unit at 96 volts?

Yes, some can only be rewired to 96V. It depends on number of coils and voltage on each. If you have 8 coils and each is 12V, then you get to 96V only, there is no way to make it 192V.
But the sport device unit will still work correct? How many amp will it need?
Yes, the SportDevices can be set to different output voltages.
The standard unit can deliver 23Amps. If you need more, they have another version for up to 40Amp, somewhat more expensive (€800, I believe).
For retarders rewired for 192V, 23Amp is enough in most cases. When rewired to 96V, you may need more than 23Amp to get full power in your retarder. I don't remember the spec for the CC65, so check that out before ordering the power supply.
Looks like the standard unit should be fine.....Each coil is .3 ohm wired in series is 4.9ohm (meter confirmed this), so at 96v should be 19.6amp....
