I have two Nissan UD truck retarders that has 12 coils. The retarder was originally used for 24V & 12V. So, if I rewire them to series then I get 288V system, which is too high. If I rewire them to 144V, can the Semikron SKPC200-240 control the retarder? 

Each coils are 0.4ohms.
