Today I setup my YourDyno to be remote controlled by an Android phone.
For me this adds soooo much more ease-of-use.

I went looking for an app that can control a PC, send keystrokes and allow a fully customised button layout to be configured.

I found an app called InfiniMote.  It controls the PC via wifi.

I don't like using a keyboard while sitting in the car operating the dyno and I think this is a fantastic alternative.
It's similar to what Jostein did in the video using the Logitech generic remote but better! 🙂

The app is very nicely programmed and the connection appears rock-steady thus far.

I'm certainly no youtuber, but I made a (very) poor quality video to demonstrate:

Some notes:

It's handy to setup the stop/start as a 'space' as this will allow you to also use itto place a tick into some config boxes, such as the autostart option.

If you set the manual mode buttons as up and down arrow keys, rather than + and -, you can also then use them to change settings that have the small up/down arrows next to them.

I also set the 'New Run' hotkey for the 'Main Window' to the same key as ''Restart' in the 'Run Window', as they essentially will do the same thing.

Ben.

I thought you'd like it Jostein 🙂

In the next update, are you able to add up/down buttons to the RPM settings in the Auto Start/Stop window?  I think it's the only window of it's type that doesn't have them.
