Q&A Forum
Hello,
When I configure inputs, analog and TCK, values are displayed in front of each input.
But when I start a new session and/or new run, gauges appears, but all are displaying 0.0.
I would expect values, even whe the engine is not running.
Is this normal behaviour ???

All gauges shall be live all the time. Which ones (built in aux, RPM, torque, OBD2, CAN bus,....) are updating and which are not? Do they start updating once you start the engine?
Hello,
All gauges are 0.00.
Thermo-couples values are visible in the setup (option menu)
Aux inputs: no sensors connected but even the small noise present on the cables should displa anything different than 0.00
Torque value visible in the setup men
RPM is obviously at 0.0 because there is no engine on the dyno.
If i remember correctly, it worked once, but only after I let the starter run for few seconds at 300rpm. Then the torque value was visible and updated.
Software 3.3.34, but also on previous versions
Firmware 3.13

If all gauges are not updating, then there is no connection to the YourDyno box. Make sure it is connected and plugged into power. Reconnect the USB if necessary. You can check the connection in Options->Firmware update. It shall show about 110 samples /s.
Box IS connected, AND working. Themo-couples values are changing in the setup, I can make the stepper motor move in the setup, i can see CAN traffic.
But nothing append in the gauges. ???? ????

@angelo, I have never seen that before. Give me a call at +47 4840 1279 (whatsapp) and I can login and take a look. I assume you have tried to restart YourDyno.
When I try to install the new software versions, Avast antivirus (free version) complain about it, verify it, send it to Avast. At the end the install can continue, but I am not totally sure everything was OK.
Maybe the antivirus is then blocking any process. If everything is OK, how many Yourdyno processes should I view in the task manager ?
I am preparing another PC where Yourdyno software was never installed. I will install with Avast deactivated.

There is one YourDyno process if you have only the main YourDyno window open, and 2 if you have the Run window open too. Just give ma a call and I can take a look at the setup. I don't think it is the antivirus as long as you are able to install.
Hi,
Some interesting progress.
I used another PC where Yourdyno was never installed. And ......... everything Ok and run as it should ???? ???? ????
So I suspect a big mess with the updates I made since march. I remember I installed a version with all plugins. Then installed the next version with only 2 plugins.
I uninstalled Yourdyno, checked that directories were removed, and reinstalled YourDyno, in the hope that I find a clean install. But all my previous settings were already in the config, and still the same problem. So uninstalling doesn't remove a hidden config file, which I didn't find anywhere.
Angelo
To delete the settings, exit YourDyno, go to the folder %localappdata%\Fonneland_Engineering_AS and delete everything there. Start YourDyno again.
Hi,
Thank you for your support. Erasing the file is the solution. I can't remember when the problem occured.
Corrupted file is available if you want to check for any bug unwanted behaviour ????

Yes, thanks, send the user.config to jostein@yourdyno.com
