Hi all

I have located a Frenelsa 24V retarder F12-40.

Doe anyone have a data sheet for this model and how to change the coil configuration.

also would this be able to be used with Your Dyno Power Supply.

Thank you

F12-40 is 6 coils, correct? That means 72V in total if all coils are in series.

Yes, you can use the YourDyno power supply to power this brake.

The easiest way to look at rewiring it is that all coils shall be powered with the same polarity as before. So the positive wire before rewiring shall be the positive wire after rewiring. If you get lost after taking it apart, you can use a compass to see that the North-South changes with every coil you move past.

See attached picture that shows the rewiring for a 192V brake, but it is the same concept for a 72V brake.
