Hi Erjam and welcome to the forum. Need more information ither than a dyno name. Do you know what speed sensor dimtech inertia dyno use ?  Can you see any part_numbers on it ? 

The other concern is it triggered by a slotted/spline wheel uf yes do you know the dimensions and tooth count. Or is it something else i e a magnet ? 

Post a few pictures of the sensor setup if it is acceasable?

No problem to run YourDyno on this dyno, but you should change the encoder, since 8PPR is on the low side. You should go for something that will give at least 200 pulses per second at the lowest RPM you are interested in. For most dynos that means 20 PPR or more.
