I have a acceleration dyno for motorcycles I would like to add a brake to. Is it possible to use the inertia in the roller and add some braking force while testing? I'm considering adding a Telma type of brake on the dyno and it would make my life easier if I could do the mapping of my ECU and add some brake force. Also it would be nice if you have a max rpm of, lets say 5000, and the brake automatically adds torque to keep the bike on the maximum set rpm.
My question is: Is this possible with your hardware + Software?

Yes, that is possible. In the software options you can choose either inertia or brake type. When you are mapping engines you put it in brake mode. You flick a switch (or press a button in SW) and the brake is on. It will then hold the current RPM until you press another button for RPM Up. RPM then increases by say 100 RPM (programmable) and so you continue until the whole engine is mapped at all RPMs and all throttle positions.
The software that is released now only contains pre-set brake curves, but the above is just around the corner, it is a simple addition to the software.
