If you can wait until monday, Took tomorrow off work and dont want to go in just to take a picture lol.
But its dead simple. Looks like something that was made in the 60s and wouldnt be supprised if it was since it came with a old 5 gass analyser.

That would be great - no hurry. Sounds like I could make it easily enough, but a pic is like 1000 words, etc.

Bought a couple of these to act as water traps for the MAP sensors.

Also bought a pair of 150mm analog gauges - they measure minus 100 kPa to plus 150 kPa. They're for MAP and exhaust back-pressure. I am logging and displaying that via the MAP sensors and YourDyno, but I decided I wanted the immediate visual reassurance of good old Bourdon tube pressures gauges.

Best Wishes to you and family Julian hope things are working out for your wife.

NOW THATS A NICE PRESSURE GAUGE !!! Has positive and negative pressure reading values.

Has a nice narrow range 150KPa (21.75 psi ) for measuring exhaust backpressure. Not good for manifold vacuum specially on deceleration will be off the scale totally.

Thank you - she is getting better, but slowly.

My engine management maps only down to -100 kPa (ie -14.7 psi) and on my dash when driving the car I don't see more than 20kPa absolute (ie minus 80 kPa)  so so I would have thought the gauge range is more than adequate?

That is great, good news that your wife is making a recovery.

On my 600BHp V8 engine I see over negative  30 inHG on deceleration ( intake  manifold Vacuum)

Like you siad that plenty I made a  error before   30 inHG = 13.75 PSI which is plenty

I built my own retarder power supply (parts are are readily available). I use YourDyno for control.

Dyno continues to work well. Did a firmware update that seemed to lose one of my presets - 0-5V dyno output control went to PWM, and it took me a while to find the issue. Other than that, no problems.

Playing with cam timing, and good performance on a cold day:

Someone has asked via PM about the mains filter and protection components I am using on the power supply output.

The filter is to stop noise going back into the mains power. I used RS components 881-3781.

The protection components for the SCR comprise a 100 ohm 5W resistor and series 0.1uF 630V DC capacitor wired across the the retarder, and a 431KD20 varistor - also wired across the retarder. These are all very cheap - and I was advised to use them by someone very respected in the field.

Thank you very much for this valuable information.

how is all installed? maybe you can post a diagram or a photo to be more clear.

My setup is going ok, but sometimes I still have noise problems, with more sensors or long wires installed I loose connection sometimes.

Regards
